Exciting New Class Exclusively for Playhouse Graduates
Starting June 23rd, award-winning writer/producer James Hirsch began to teach a six-week screenwriting class. Spanning a fifty-year award-winning career as both writer and producer with Papazian-Hirsch Productions, Mr. Hirsch also taught screenwriting at his alma mater, University of Wisconsin in Madison for fifteen years. Mr. Hirsch has written and produced hundreds of television films and episodes. His vast store of knowledge has been drawn from every facet of show business.
During these challenging times, we are especially grateful that Mr. Hirsch, Playhouse friend and supporter, offered his time and talent to our alumni. Twelve very lucky graduates have been working with Mr. Hirsch in his extraordinary Introduction to Screenwriting class. It has been a chance for these students to tell their stories. There is no better time than a time of upheaval to lay bones bare, and no better time than a time of unraveling to make sense of things through good storytelling. James Hirsch is the right man at the right time, and we at The Neighborhood Playhouse are honored to have him on board and welcome him with open arms.
