Spring is in the air and things are blooming at The Neighborhood Playhouse!
This year’s musical demonstration, The Great Escape, was a terrific success. Once again faculty member Douglas J. Cohen worked his magic and the Second Year students shined. A huge thanks to our First Year students for all the late nights and diligent tech-work backstage with Gary Kingston (Tech Director | 1YR Acting Faculty). And a heartfelt thank you to all those alumni and friends who came and supported our talented students.

Last week we had a visit by our illustrious alumna, Academy Award Winner Mary Steenburgen (NP ’74) and her husband, three time Golden Globe winner Ted Danson . Huge thanks to Mary & Ted for taking time to visit and inspire our Second Year Class as they ready for life after graduation. It was almost a year ago that Mary was here last and I’m hoping her visits become an annual tradition.

Mary and Ted were not the only VIP visitors to The Neighborhood Playhouse last week. Leslie Moonves (NP ’73), Chairman, President & CEO CBS, stopped by with his wife Julie Chen (TV Host The Talk) to take a tour of his alma mater and show her where it all began.
